The Township of Howick is currently seeking a motivated, outgoing and organized individual to be a part of the Howick Township Team! Reporting to the Treasurer, the Deputy Treasurer will assist with the general administration of all financial services, including tax collection, accounts payable and receivable, development of the annual corporate budget, financial reporting requirements and responding to inquiries. 

The successful candidate should have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field of study. Previous experience in a municipal financial setting is preferred. Strong computer, communication and analytical skills are essential. Completing of AMCTO's Municipal Accounting and Finance Program (MAFP) and OMTRA's Municipal Tax Administration Program (MTAP) would be ideal, or willing to obtain.

This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary (2023 rate $68,406.59 - $85,508.23, Under Review), OMERS pension and a comprehensive benefits package.
