Well Water Information
The Huron Perth Public Health reminds you to sample your well water each season and after heavy rain, plumbing work, or if you notice a change in your water’s colour, taste or odour.
You can also sign up for our email updates on testing well water by writing to wellwater@huroncounty.ca.
We all rely on safe drinking water in our homes, schools and offices and throughout our communities. It is vital to our health and quality of life. Ontario has strict laws in place to keep our drinking water safe and clean.
You can pick up the sample bottles and tips on how to take a good water sample at the Township Office but you must take the bottle to one the labs shown below.
Drop off free sampling bottles at:
Wingham & District Hospital Lab, Wingham
Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to noon
Seaforth Community Hospital Lab, Seaforth
Monday–Friday, 8:30–10:30 a.m.
Huron County Court House, Goderich
Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to noon
South Huron Hospital, Exeter
Monday–Friday, 7:30–10:30 a.m.
