Huron County Library Services - Shutdown update

Updated

In light of the recent announcement of shutdown for the province of Ontario including Huron County, the libraries will be modifying services available beginning December 26th. As per the announcement this will be maintained until January 23rd with re-assessments as necessary.

The libraries will revert to curbside and pickup of pre-ordered materials for our current hours of operation. Library patrons will be able to use the library’s on-line catalogue for selection of materials, or call the library during hours of operation in order to speak with librarians for reader’s advisory services. All in-person browsing of materials will be closed and unavailable. Returned items will continue to be quarantined for 72 hours.

Space bookings will be unavailable. All in-person programs remain cancelled. Programming will be moved to virtual services. A variety of electronic resources are available to library card holders online.

Screening of all patrons entering the library will be required.

Thank you for your support.
