Canada Post Disruption
Postal Strike – Bill Payment Options
Canada Post is experiencing a service disruption due to a national strike. Operations will be shut down for the duration of the strike, leading to delays in service. No new items will be accepted until the national disruption is over.
The Township of Howick is advising residents and businesses that due to the postal strike at Canada Post, delivery of your taxes and other invoices or payments mailed to us could be impacted. Please note that you are still responsible for paying your tax bill or invoices on time and that late charges will apply if your payment is late.
Please DO NOT send payment to the Township of Howick through the mail during the duration of the strike. The following options for bill payments are available during a postal service disruption:
- Pre-authorized payment plans
- In-Person at the Township Office: Pay by cash, cheque, or debit
- Drop-Box at the Township Office: Drop box located on the right side of the front entrance.
- Online Banking
- Financial Institution: Payments can be accepted at your financial institution.
- Interac e-Transfer, Credit or Debit Card: Available online via PaySimply at www.howick.ca.
Third party transaction fees apply.
