Important Update: $10 Minimum User Fee at the Howick Landfill

As the new year approaches the Township of Howick wants its residents to know that changes to the Howick Landfill will be occurring on January 1, 2025. A minimum charge of $10.00 per load of residential/domestic waste will begin at this time. The revenue generated from this new fee will help to offset the costs to run the landfill and our plans to improve it, while also extending its remaining useful life for the residents of Howick. 

Bag Tags for curbside collection will continue to cost $3.00 per tag. Trips to the Landfill Site should be for the disposal of items/materials that cannot be managed through the curbside collection services.
