Half-Load Restrictions March 1st, 2025 until middle of May.

⚠NOTICE⚠ Half-Load Restrictions Starts March 1st! Signs will be posted around the Township Monday March 3rd by Public Works. 🚛 What does Half Load mean? When half load restrictions are in place the maximum allowable weight is 5,000 kilograms (5 tonnes) per axel as per section 122 of the Highway Traffic Act. 🚛 Why do this? Temporary restrictions on heavy weight vehicles help avoid damage to Township roads during the spring season when frozen roads start to thaw, water soaks into the gravel and the road temporarily loses the strength needed to support heavy-weight vehicles. 🚛 Help us reduce the amount of repairs needed on our road system by not having heavy deliveries to your property during this time of year. Half load restrictions will remain in place until the middle of May (unless otherwise announced). Spring must be on the way! ❄🌸🌷💕🌞
