Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority - Flood Watch Statement April 1st-4th, 2025

FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT April 1–4, 2025 All Saugeen Watershed Municipalities

Saugeen Conservation has upgraded its Flood Outlook to a Flood Watch due to heavy rainfall in the forecast this week. After receiving 45 mm of rain this past weekend, the ground is saturated, and more rain is on the way.

 20–40 mm of rain is expected on Wednesday, possibly more in areas with thunderstorms. Precipitation may begin as freezing rain in the morning before transitioning to rain.

 With already high water levels, we expect continued localized flooding in low-lying areas and near small watercourses.

This Flood Watch remains in effect until Friday, April 4 at 12:00 PM, unless updated.
