Nominate Howick's 2016 "Citizen of the Year"

Council of the Township of Howick is calling for nominations for the 2016 “Citizen of the Year” Award. The purpose of this award is to honour a Howick Township resident that has made an outstanding contribution to the community. Please send a letter describing why your nominee deserves the recognition to the Clerk, in a sealed envelope marked “confidential”, in person or by mail, 44816 Harriston Road, RR 1, Gorrie Ontario N0G 1X0 or email at clerk@howick.ca. The deadline for nominations is 4 pm on Friday, April 29, 2016.

Wroxeter residents are looking forward to the opening of a new business on their main street! Krista Doyle is hoping to have “The Shiny Skillet” open in early May. Battery Recycling 
Wroxeter Hall Board is fundraising for an automatic generator system.  For more information please follow this link.  If there are any outstanding pledges please have them in to any board member by May 31 2016 as the Board would like to complete this drive by that time. Thank everyone who participated in this effort. A plaque with all names of those donating will be placed in the Lower Hall.
